1. Scope
This policy applies to HayQuotes, a marketplace operated by TipMunk SASU, including its website, private buyer and supplier pages, email, SMS, and marketplace-support activities in the United States and Canada.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that buyers, suppliers, and marketplace operators provide, including names, business names, email addresses, phone numbers, delivery locations, hay requirements, supplier capabilities, quotes, photos, supporting documents, transaction outcomes, issue reports, and communications. We also collect technical and security information such as access times, device and browser data, IP-derived information, private-link validation results, consent records, and audit events.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and match requests, deliver private links and alerts, display and compare quotes, introduce the parties after selection, support direct transactions, calculate and invoice marketplace fees, prevent fraud and misuse, respond to support and privacy requests, improve the service, and comply with legal and accounting obligations.
4. How information is shared
Before acceptance, matched suppliers receive only the request details reasonably needed to quote; the buyer's name, direct contact information, and exact street address remain private. A buyer and the selected supplier receive each other's contact details after the buyer accepts a quote. We share limited information with vendors that provide hosting, database, file storage, email, SMS, analytics, security, and Stripe invoicing services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or in connection with a business transfer.
HayQuotes does not sell the hay purchase or collect the buyer's payment to the supplier. Stripe processes payment information for separate HayQuotes marketplace-fee invoices under Stripe's own privacy terms.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use essential technologies to provide secure sessions and private marketplace pages. We also use Google Analytics to understand site usage. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and receive device, browser, interaction, and approximate-location information. Browser controls may limit cookies, although some features may then work differently.
6. Email, SMS, and choices
Transactional messages are used to operate a request, quote, or order. Suppliers who join the network consent to matched-opportunity emails and may separately choose SMS alerts. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and replying STOP opts out of SMS. Email or SMS consent may be withdrawn at any time. Suppliers may also reply “Remove” to opportunity outreach or contact us to be placed on our suppression list.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for marketplace operations, support, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Private access tokens are stored as cryptographic hashes, and we use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
8. International processing
HayQuotes serves the United States and Canada. Information may be processed and stored in either country or in other locations where our service providers operate, and may be subject to the laws of those locations.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about how personal information is used and shared, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may need to verify your identity and retain information that we are legally required or permitted to keep. HayQuotes does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Children
HayQuotes is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes and contact
